Beam Splitter (US/NO)
Beam Splitter are: Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø (NO) and Audrey Chen (US). Using the trombone and voice, they maneuver a balance between fragility, intimacy, the ecstatic and measured control. They share a common sense of pulse and an inherent understanding of the way they each aurally manage and let go of every consecutive moment. The lungs release through to mouths to bell, back and forth like a tactile breathing exchange.

Audrey Chen (US)
Audrey Chen is a 2nd generation Taiwanese-American musician. Her playing explores the combination and layering of an analog synthesizer, preparations and traditional and extended techniques in both the voice and cello. She works to join these elements into a singular ecstatic personal language.

Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø (NO)
Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø is a musician and sound artist focusing on trombone performance, as well as compositional projects utilizing heavy amplification of the brass instrument alongside external sound sources like half-clarinet and various noise generators.

RND (KR/BE)
RND are: Jiyoung Wi (KR) and Lawrence McGuire (BE).

Lawrence McGuire (1997, is a composer based between The Hague and Brussels. Vocality, in its production as well as perception, is the main topic of his experimental practice. Open Studio

2021-2025

From 2021 to 2025, Patch Studios was based on Melkwegstraat. During these years, we opened our doors through a series of open studio events, sharing our workspace, creative processes, performances, and concerts with a wider public. These gatherings nurtured a collaborative community grounded in exchange, experimentation, and dialogue.
